The MS SQL Server from Microsoft is generally considered a much more robust and capable database than more commonly available web databases, such as Access, MySQL and PostgreSQL. It is only available on the Windows hosting platform, and it is a little pricey, so hosting plans that include a SQL server database are typically more expensive than standard hosting accounts.
